# Delete Detection

`DELETE https://app.resemble.ai/api/v2/detect/{uuid}`

Delete a detection belonging to your team. Once deleted, the detection no longer appears in [List Detects](/detect/list), and [Get Detection](/detect/get) returns `404`.

## Error Response (404)

Unknown UUIDs and detections belonging to another team are indistinguishable, so neither reveals whether the UUID exists:
