# Meetings

Meetings brings Resemble's deepfake detection into your video calls. A detection bot (the app also calls it the detection agent) joins your meetings, checks each participant's voice and video while the call runs, and flags anyone whose voice or video is AI-generated.

#### [Joins on its own](/detect/meetings/personal-calendar/connect)

Connect your calendar once, and the bot joins matching meetings at their start time.

#### [Live verdicts](/detect/meetings/personal-calendar/dashboard#live-detection)

The bot checks each participant's voice and video during the call, and every meeting keeps its final verdict.

#### [Alerts in the call](/detect/meetings/personal-calendar/control-center#in-meeting-chat-notifications)

When the bot flags someone, it posts a warning in the meeting chat.

#### [Email alerts](/detect/meetings/personal-calendar/control-center#team-notifications)

After a call with a flagged participant, an alert email goes to the addresses you choose.

## Get started

### Open Meetings

In the [Resemble app](https://app.resemble.ai), open **Meetings** from the sidebar.

### Connect your calendar

Choose which meetings the bot joins, then sign in to your Google or Microsoft calendar. See [Connect Your Calendar](/detect/meetings/personal-calendar/connect).

### Follow your meetings

Watch each meeting and its verdict on the [Meetings Dashboard](/detect/meetings/personal-calendar/dashboard).

## Protect a single meeting

No calendar needed. If your team has an organization calendar, pick **Personal** under **Calendar Scope** first.

1. On the Meetings page, click **Start meeting** (**Start a meeting** on the **Protect every meeting** screen).
2. In the **Start a protected meeting** dialog, paste the link under **Meeting URL**.
3. Click **Start meeting**.

> **Start it when the call starts**
>
> The bot tries to join right away, so start it when the call is starting or already underway. If the meeting has a waiting room or lobby, someone needs to let the bot in.
