# Create Voice

`POST https://app.resemble.ai/api/v2/voices`

Create a new custom voice. Requires Business or Enterprise plan.

| `name`         | string | ✅        | Voice name (max 256 characters).                            |
| `language`     | string | ❌        | Default language code. Default: en-US.                      |
| `description`  | string | ❌        | Voice description.                                          |
| `dataset_url`  | string | ❌        | URL to training dataset (max 30,000 characters).            |
| `callback_uri` | string | ❌        | Callback URL for training completion (max 1000 characters). |

> The `dataset_url` must point to a valid audio file. Voice creation respects your plan's voice clone limits.
